lyrics

This wedding piano sheet music contains no lyrics - it's a gentle piano arrangement of the traditional "Here Comes The Bride" as heard in modern day weddings. This gentle, easy to play version of the bridal chorus is perfect for small churches or other wedding locations, or for the bride who prefers a thoughtful and gentle sound to her bridal processional song, rather than the march-like sound typically associated with the traditionally played bridal chorus, as it is often performed on piano or pipe organ.

There was a "bridal chorus" singing in the original version of Wagner's opera Lohengrin; they sang this now famous melody after the wedding as the bride was on her way to the bridal chamber.

Occasionally a young girl might sing "Here comes the bride, all dressed in white....." making up her own words, as children are wont to do, but those are not official lyrics, and no one knows which child or adult first came up with those unforgettable lines!
