Steve Millikan plays the mesmerizing and lovely melody usually performed by solo violin on acoustic piano to the backdrop of a muted string section and harp on this enchanting number. Meditation From Thais is such a beautiful, romantic composition that it is quite nice as a bridal processional, a processional for the bridesmaids and bridal party, or as a wedding prelude piece.

Meditation from Thais by Massanet was composed, as most of his other pieces were, not at the piano, but out of his imagination. Massanet is most well known for his operas; this beautiful violin solo with orchestra (in this case hijacked to become a piano solo) is from his opera Thais. We have opted to soften the dynamics on this arrangement in a couple places where we deemed it more appropriate for a wedding ceremony and more in keeping with the spirit of the remainder of the composition. As a wedding prelude, perhaps the dynamic variation would be acceptable; here as a processional it maintains a more even and romantic dynamic throughout.

There are no lyrics for Mediation from Thais.
