    THE KING OF LOVE MY SHEPHERD IS: The words were written by Henry Baker, known for compiling the English hymnal "Hymns Ancient And Modern" many centuries ago. Based on the beloved 23rd Psalm, many consider this the finest musical setting ever composed for these pastoral reflections from the shepherd boy who became a king. Quite popular as an Anglican, Lutheran, Methodist, and Episcopal hymn, The King Of Love My Shepherd Is has been oft used as a choral piece, and is here performed as a somewhat Celtic styled solo for Irish whistle and flute, performed by recording artist Tobin Wingard of Bloomington, Indiana.

THE KING OF LOVE MY SHEPHERD IS is primarily a hymn of Lutheran, Anglican (Episcopal) and Methodist churches; also used in Catholic and various protestant churches.

We recorded it with a bit of a Celtic style, with a somewhat static chordal background which gives it a modal, haunting, & meditative flavor.
