Wedding March Mendelssohn (Recessional) - Orchestral recording of the traditional Mendelssohn wedding exit music. Joyful and celebrational, this is still a great song for making your grand exit after the wedding, and is undoubtedly the most famous. Felix Mendelssohn composed his wedding march as incidental music for "A Midsummer's Night Dream." There are many pieces that are known as wedding marches, the other most familiar being Wagner's instantly recognizable wedding entrance music for the bride. Composed in 1842, it achieved widespread popularity in the late 1850's, and most of our mothers or grandmothers would have made their joyful wedding exit to the strains of this classic wedding march.
